TO TAKE CANCER DOWN
Please help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer.
Join us at the American Cancer Society 2018 Tampa Cattle Barons Ball on Saturday, February 24, 2018, for a one-of-a-kind evening, featuring great food, dancing, a spectacular auction, and much more. At the American Cancer Society, we're on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we'll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer — and better.
The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. We are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to our contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate, so please join us.
We hope to see you there!
Cole Eicher is returning as the Jr. Honorary Chair and wanted to share this message of gratitude:
"With your support, I have been able to spread the message of awareness for pediatric cancer and raise dedicated funds to pediatric cancer research. Nothing makes me feel prouder than knowing that we are helping children take their courage and combining it with NEW research to help them KICK cancer.
Last year I introduced you to a local researcher and pediatric cancer fighters Jackson Carter and McKinley Moore. This year, with the assistance of 2018 Mission Chairs, Sean and Becca Walker, we have more stories of HOPE and encouragement to share with you. I can't wait to see you there, take photos and RING THE BELL together...symbolizing more cures!"
Every day we hear another story of survival, another child who because of you, will grow up with hope and optimism for a brighter future. The research dollars we raised in 2017 will enable the young and aspiring physicians funded by the American Cancer Society to continue in their quest for the cure. Hope, Progress, Answers... All part of our mission.
But we know there is still support needed. Pediatric cancer is the number one disease killer of children affecting 1 in 285 children annually in the U.S.
We ask you to join us in the fight against cancer and thank you in advance for your support of this special event. We hope to see you there to help us raise more funds for pediatric cancer research.
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
